  • AviProtek®: Acid-etched markers on the outside surface
  • AviProtek® E: Acid-etched markers on the outside surface with PPG solar control low-e coating on surface 2

Continuing Education

Walker Glass is proud to offer architects, designers and specifiers the following two courses:

Using and Specifying Acid-etched Glass or Mirror in Interior or Exterior Glass Applications
The purpose of this presentation is to provide in-depth knowledge of acid-etched glass & mirror products. The most up to date and detailed information will be provided to help understand how performance and design objectives can be achieved with this type of product. This presentation covers critical aspects, such as product characteristics, properties, specifications and constructability.

This course is one hour and is available in box lunch presentation format at your offices. It provides one AIA/HSW learning unit to members of the American Institute of Architects.

Bird Friendly Building Design with Acid Etched Glass
The purpose of this presentation is to provide in-depth knowledge of acid etched glass solutions in bird friendly building design. The most up to date and detailed information will be given to help understand how the risk of bird collision against building facades can be significantly reduced with appropriate acid etched glass solutions. The presentation covers aspects, such as bird migration and behavior, risk factors, key research findings, product testing, standards and guidelines as well as types of acid etched glass solutions and a comparative analysis with other options.

This course is one hour and is available in box lunch presentation format at your offices. It provides one AIA/HSW learning unit to members of the American Institute of Architects and one hour of GBCI CE (Continuing Education for members of The Green Building Certification Institute).
